Buyer’s Guide: Choosing the Right Wilde Custom Gear Pouch

Wilde Custom Gear® pouches are built with military-grade 1000D Cordura and other hard-wearing materials, so every piece of gear on this page is made to perform in the field. Use this guide to narrow down the options by caliber, capacity, and intended use.

1. Tactical Magazine Pouches

Wilde Custom Gear offers a variety of magazine pouches for rifles and pistols. Each pouch uses rugged 1000D Cordura and laser-cut MOLLE backing for a slim profile, and includes Tactical Tailor® MALICE clips so you can attach the pouch securely to belts or plate carriers.

2. Utility and Admin Pouches

If you need to carry more than magazines, Wilde Custom Gear offers a range of admin and general-purpose pouches. These are ideal for organizing medical kits, tools, maps and other mission essentials.

3. Specialty Combination Pouches

Sometimes you need to carry magazines and medical supplies in one convenient package. Wilde Custom Gear’s combination pouches provide versatile storage while preserving a compact footprint.

• Kitchen Sink Pouch – A hybrid pouch with compartments for both mags and medical gear. One side holds AR-15, AK-47 or AR-10/308 rifle magazines along with a pistol magazine pouch; the other side has a deep flap pocket and rows of laser-cut MOLLE for securing first-aid items such as trauma shears. Elastic straps on the bottom keep a tourniquet handy. Constructed from 1000D Cordura with mil-spec webbing and hook-and-loop fasteners, it attaches with four MALICE clips. Ideal for chest rigs, assault packs, or vehicles where space is limited but versatility is paramount.

4. MOLLE Pouches

Modular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment (MOLLE) pouches use PALS webbing—rows of heavy-duty nylon stitched into a grid—to create a truly modular system. By weaving straps through the webbing on your pack, plate carrier, or even a gun safe door panel, you can attach pouches exactly where you need them. Wilde Custom Gear carries several purpose-built MOLLE pouches in addition to the magazine, admin, and combination pouches already described.

• Document and storage pouches: These flat pouches are sized to hold letter-sized documents or other slim items. Attach one to a MOLLE gun safe door panel to keep manuals, permits, or paperwork organized and accessible. Made from tough tactical nylon, they come with MALICE clips for quick installation.
• General utility pouches: Beyond the admin pouches, Wilde makes a variety of small MOLLE pouches for mission-specific needs—think nicotine canisters, compact radios, or navigation tools. All feature durable 1000D Cordura construction, secure closures, and laser-cut or traditional MOLLE backing.

By mixing and matching MOLLE pouches with magazine and admin pouches, you can build out a truly customized loadout that keeps every tool in its place. Because MOLLE is a universal standard, these pouches will integrate seamlessly with most tactical packs, plate carriers, and belts.

How to Choose the Right Pouch

1. Identify your primary platform: Start with the firearm or gear you need to support—AR-15, AK-47, .308, pistol, or a combination—and select a pouch sized for that magazine type.
2. Decide on capacity: For low-profile setups, a single or double pouch may suffice. Range days or duty rigs often benefit from triple or quad configurations. Combination pouches like the Kitchen Sink offer both ammunition and medical storage in one.
3. Consider your mounting options: All Wilde pouches are MOLLE compatible, but some (like the Goliath) can also be worn as chest rigs or fanny packs. Think about where and how you plan to mount the pouch—belt, plate carrier, pack or placard—and choose accordingly.
4. Plan for additional gear: Admin and utility pouches keep tools, lights and medical supplies organized. Pair a magazine pouch with a Slim Admin Pouch or Tourniquet Pouch to build a complete loadout.
